The first step for successful Google Ads Advertising is the analysis of your business and the correct identification of the habits of your target customers. With advertising in search network, we reach them at the exact moment when they search for your products and services, while with many other options Google offers, you can create new needs, new demand, increase your brand awareness and new customers who will already know and trust your business at the time of purchase.
Do you also want to increase the visibility of your business or highlight your products and services at the top of Google search? Together, we can make this more effective, as statements of our customers also prove.
We have already written many articles about Google advertising on our blog, on Računalniške novice and in many other media. The most common and the most important ones can be found below:
What is search advertising, what are the other options?
Search advertising is what we first think of when someone mentions search engine marketing. This type of advertising is a keyword lease that shows your ad when someone types one of the leased keywords of phrases into a search box.
An example of search advertising is shown below.

Search advertising is by no means the only option Google advertising offers. You can also reach new customers through display advertising, remarketing and dynamic remarketing, YouTube advertising, Gmail sponsored promotions, and some more advanced techniques that Google Ads Advertising provides..
Each of these options is appropriate in some cases, but which one is best for you depends mainly on the goals you want to achieve (increase sales, increase brand awareness, outreach awareness etc.).
How much does Google ppc online advertising cost per click?
A very common question which unfortunately does not have a very simple answer.
The cost of a click is primarily influenced by your competition, as overall Google ppc online advertising works on the auction system - the more you pay, the higher you get. To make things more complicated, Google also takes into account the Quality Score in addition to the price you are willing to pay for each click. The higher your Quality Score, the lower your cost per click.
You can see in the image above how Quality Score will affect your cost per click. Typically, we first check with Google Keyword Planner what the expected cost of a click is; for well-regulated campaigns that achieve exceptional quality scores, we can expect as much as 50% lower cost-per-click, still with excellent average rank.
After all, conversion and ROI are far more important than cost-per-click, so it's important to lease the right keywords, the ones that help you reach your goals.
What is Quality Score?
Quality Score is a rating on the scale of 1 to 10 that Google assigns to each keyword. You can see the Quality Score in the Google AdWords interface by including the “Quality Score” column when reviewing your keywords, or by hovering over the bubble with the keyword you selected:
There are roughly three factors that affect quality assessment:
-
Expected CTR
-
Relevance of the ad
-
Website user experience
If your ad is so engaging that a user will want to click on it, it should also be in context with the keyword and content on your site, and if user experience on your site will also be great, Google will earn more because:
-
Google will make money in the short term due to the click on your ad.
-
In the long run, Google will make money because users will love to click on ads if a good user experience awaits them, which is in the context of what is expected.
Google will reward a good Quality Score so your costs will be lower, which is why you should also try to satisfy all the factors of a good Quality Score, as you will earn more.
What's the difference between SEM advertising and website optimization?
With Google advertising, your ad may appear above these organic hits, but unpaid or organic hits receive more clicks.
One of the differences is that with paid searches, you pay per click, while the organic position is free and you can only pay for the optimization service that brings you to the top positions.
Also, success is measured slightly differently, with Google AdWords measuring success by CTR, average position, quality score, etc., while optimization is especially important to rank as high as possible. For SEM advertising and for website optimization, it is most important that they achieve your key success indicators, such as purchase, registration, completed contact form etc.
I have a promotional code. Can I use it?
You can use a promotional code for Google Ads Advertising, but only if you meet the following conditions:
-
The codes are intended only for new advertising accounts.
-
Codes are time-limited - check that yours has not expired.
-
You can only use one promotional code per account.
-
Before using the promotional code, you'll need to enter your payment information, and most of the time, you will need to invest certain funds before the code will be active and credit in your account.
-
Codes may be location-limited.
If you keep opening new accounts and use promotional codes on them, Google will penalize this and, in the worst-case scenario, prevent you from continuing to use advertising. Rescuing blocked accounts is very time-consuming and there is a lot of negotiation ahead that will allow you to advertise again, if at all. Therefore, if you have serious intentions and want to get new business through Google Ads Advertising, we strongly discourage this practice.
Does SEM advertising also affect organic positions of my site?
NO.
This is one of the most amusing questions we come across quite often.
If you stopped advertising and lost organic positions at the same time, we guarantee you that this has no connection whatsoever. If your advertising goals have not been met, do not start advertising just to make your organic positions better. Rather, focus on your site content and technical and content optimization, or give us a call to help. You can read more about it here:

How much does your service cost?
A simple question to which unfortunately there is no easy answer.
The price Google Ads Advertising depends on the volume of your campaigns, the amount of your offer you would like to advertise, and the number of “budgets” you would like to invest in Google.
Our business operations are 100% transparent, which means in practice that Google's funds are separate from the cost of our services, and you can see at any time how much money you have already invested and how much is still available.

Why aren't my ads running?
If you do not see your ads on Google, it does not mean that they are not displayed to other users. You can easily check the status of your ads by:
-
Use the Ad Preview Tool (Google AdWords -> Tools -> Ad Preview and Analysis).
-
Hover your mouse over the keyword bubble, and a window will open that highlights information about how your ad will appear below the selected keyword. The picture below shows this nicely.
If your ad doesn't even appear in the preview and analysis tool and the keyword bubble says “No”, and your ad stats are empty, your ad really isn't showing. There are several reasons for this, below are some of the most common ones:
-
Issues with funds in your account - your funds have been used up or not sent in the first place, there may have been a problem with credit card billing. Check your account balance before looking ahead.
-
Your ads are still under review - if you just added your ads, they may still be under review. The same goes for newly opened accounts. The review can take up to 24 hours, although in most cases this is significantly faster.
-
Disapproved Ads - If your ads violate the policies of Google advertising, they may be rejected during review. In this case, this will also be clearly marked inside AdWords and you will receive an email with the notification.
-
Check your daily limit - if it's already reached, your ads will no longer run.
-
Status of campaigns, ads, keywords etc. Check that everything is active or if any of the things mentioned are paused or deleted.
-
Check negative keywords - if you added the same keyword to your selected keywords and to negative keywords, a negative keyword will prevent it from appearing.
In most cases you will come up with a solution to the above examples, but if you still cannot find anything useful in the above answer, you can contact us.
Where does my ad appear?
Average position in the Google Ads Advertising system tells you where on average is your ad located.
Example:
If your ad appears 30x in the first position and 30x in the third position, your average position will be 2.
The average position will also be 2 if your ad appears 20x in the first, 20x in the second and 20x in the third position.
If you type your keywords into Google and compare your keyword position to your average position data, it will likely vary as Google knows your history, knows what you were looking for in the past, what pages you visited, and will therefore adjust the display of your ad. That is why this method is not best suited for determining average keyword positions.
