A1 website optimization (formerly Si.mobil)Pri When optimizing A1.si website or Si.mobil, as the brand was named when we started optimizing their website, we did not have these problems. The site has already been established, one of the most recognizable brands in Slovenia, with a significant number of backlinks, but one major problem is that the websites of competing providers were ranked higher on Google. This is why they contacted us for website optimization.

1. Website analysis Even before we started the optimization, we prepared an analysis of the current situation which is also part of the standard procedure in our company. By analysing the current situation, we try to find opportunities, mistakes, evaluate the rationality and the cost of optimizing the website. You can read more about website analysis on this page. We have encountered quite a few challenges even in the analysis process. Just to mention some of the most interesting ones:

2. Selection of SEO Keywords
After analysing the keywords, we have selected 60 keywords whose rankings will also be monitored several times a month. Some of the selected words were "evergreen" and we assumed that they would not change (categories, e.g. phones, Samsung phones etc.), while we knew that others (models of phones, tablets) have limited duration and that they will need to be replaced with new models after they are replaced. We selected 60 keywords that were highly relevant to their service and were also searched by users online. GOAL 1: To put at least 20 of the selected 60 keywords on first page if the page has not yet been listed there or to move it to a better position if it was already on first page. GOAL 2: To put at least 40 of the 60 keywords on the first page if the page has not yet been listed there or to move it to a better position if it was already on first page. 3. Website optimization KWhen we selected those keywords with A1 that could contribute the most to their brand, we set about optimizing the site. We tried to tackle the challenge of working with an external team of programmers in different ways, but in the end, the best solution was the introduction of regular short weekly meetings, initially live, and increasingly more often via Skype as time progressed. Through short regular weekly meetings, we were able to get things moving on a regular basis, and there were also significantly less misunderstandings compared to sending written instructions to developers. At the same time as the start of optimization, we also began to correct all the mistakes that had accumulated from the past to improve the technical characteristics of the website. Even though such a website has a lot of external links, the vast majority of those links are directed to the front page or to subpages that are not relevant for optimization, as there are no keywords there that we would want to use to be on the first page of Google (legal notices, employees of the company etc.). This is why offsite optimization is an important part of such websites as well. |
